Dispensing Practice I - Solid Preparations

This course provides an overview of practicing pharmacist with knowledge and problem solving skills regarding prescription, labelling, compounding and dispensing of solid dosage forms. Topics include are prescription and medication orders, labeling of compounded and non-compounded medicines, dispensing in the health care system, introduction to compounding of pharmaceutical products, pharmaceutical calculations, documentation in compounding and dispensing, dispensing of solid dosage forms, compounding and dispensing of capsules and pharmaceutical powders. By course completion, students will have an understanding of interpret, compound and dispense solid preparation at the workplace.
