Yr-3 Paeds
This module is designed to train the students in the art of clinical medicine, history taking, clinical examination, the making of a provisional diagnosis, requesting rational investigations, the interpretation of relevant data and the principles governing the management of the common childhood diseases.
The students will learn about emergency situations and the basic initial treatment to be provided and the referral of children to hospitals.
It also ensures that the students learn the preventive aspects, including counselling and giving health education to caregivers / parents and children according to their age and level of understanding.
